R&DA’s Wounded Warrior Transition Program was born from an idea of wanting to help our wounded warriors transition back to a life as normal as we can make it for them. The program was first introduced to the members of R&DA in 2006 with the hope of gaining support from the companies that belong to the organization. Little was it recognized at the time that the idea of assisting our wounded service members would take off so rapidly and grow into a functioning program. The main effort of the WWTP is an effort dedicated to assisting injured military members that have served in Iraq and Afghanistan. As important, it was recognized that the family members of our wounded heroes needed support during the period that their loved ones recuperated from their injuries. First of all, the R&DA membership supports our efforts in this area since it is the right thing to do. Secondly, our involvement is far greater than others since our business interests are in supporting the US military in peace and in war. The WWTP encompasses many elements that include employment opportunities, monetary support, mentoring and special events. Whether you are a wounded service member or a company that wants to assist in this endeavor we invite you to explore our web site to learn more about the program and the opportunities we are providing .
R&DA's Wounded Warrior efforts are conducted under a charitable organization and all donations are tax deductible.
R&DA has no overhead in its wounded warrior programs as all work effort, materials, etc are donated. Since 2007 these efforts have provided more than $1,000,000 in support. Due to leveraging with our supporters of the wounded warrior efforts, R&DA has provided more than 2.9 times the funds it has received. |
